Our Be4K connecting program is designed for children who will turn 5 between September 1 and December 31. These children have completed the 4-year-old program and are technically eligible to enter Kindergarten, but would benefit from continued social, behavioral and developmental instruction in a pre-K environment.
Be4K is a robust bridge program incorporating skill-building, multiple science units, exploration and understanding of nature and the environment, “Everyday Math”, “Handwriting without Tears”, introduction to Spanish, as well as art, music and gym. We focus on encouraging increased confidence, peer interaction and self-reliance as we prepare our students for a successful Kindergarten experience. We also encourage problem-solving and increased socialization through free play.
Our Be4K class meets five days a week, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Your child will enjoy lunch with their Be4K classmates daily as a part of the program. On nice days, lunch will be outside at the picnic tables on our large, newly expanded playground. We enroll 14-16 children in our Be4K class, with one head teacher and one assistant teacher in the classroom.
