Be4K Connecting Program

Our Be4K connecting program is designed for children who will turn 5 between September 1 and December 31. These children have completed the 4-year-old program and are technically eligible to enter Kindergarten, but would benefit from continued social, behavioral and developmental instruction in a pre-K environment. 

Be4K is a robust bridge program incorporating skill-building, multiple science units, exploration and understanding of nature and the environment. Twice a week, the children join our naturalist to engage in the “Into the Woods” program.  “Learning without Tears” curriculum is extended, and a Literacy Coach joins the class once a week to support the faculty and children.  An introduction to Spanish, art, music and gym are all part of the weekly activities. We focus on encouraging increased confidence, peer interaction and self-reliance as we prepare our students for a successful Kindergarten experience. We also encourage problem-solving and increased socialization through free play.

Our Be4K class meets five days a week, 9:00 am to 1:50 pm.  Please pack a healthy lunch for your child to enjoy. We enroll 14-16 children in our Be4K class, with one head teacher and one assistant teacher in the classroom.
